Damorquis qualified for three consecutive Gwent Opens and holds the title of Gwent Challenger #4 champion. His passion for The Witcher universe and his real-life knowledge of behavioral economics helped him develop Team Aretuza, the strongest Gwent esports team in the world, which he manages. His extensive tournament preparation often results in ambitious, innovative decks that catch even the best opponents by surprise, and his highly disciplined approach to gaming, always looking for mistakes and areas to improve, provides his unique edge against the competition.
Green Cricket is one of the heads of Aretuza, creating an environment where players and content creators can thrive and continuously improve themselves. In addition to his work at Aretuza, he runs a Gwent YouTube channel for beginners and advanced players alike. He teaches how to become better at Gwent and offers one in-depth Gwent guide each week as inspiration.
A lifelong fan of strategy games from A Coruña, Spain, Sergi2Vamos began his competitive career in 2013 with Hearthstone, winning minor community tournaments and earning high leaderboard finishes. In 2016 he picked up Gwent and became one of the best players of the alpha, innovating meta decks and reaching the top of the leaderboard frequently. At the start of 2018, he joined Team Aretuza to help its competitive development. As captain of the team's Underlords squad, he organizes his teammates' efforts, helping them reach their best form.
Henno is the founder and recruiter of Team Aretuza. He founded the team to get a group of good players together, to become better at Gwent together. He is always actively looking for new talented people to work together with. His ambition is for the members of Team Aretuza to learn from one another and learn new skills, be it in playing, making content or managing. Henno is a decent Gwent player (at least that’s what he says when you ask him). But he mostly enjoys seeing other people grow.
Being a card game fan since she first laid her hands on playing cards, EmpressTeemo quickly found her way into TCGs and hasn't stopped playing them in over fifteen years. Her favourite aspect of digital card games is min-maxing the acquisition of cards and being able to constantly upgrade the deck until an optimized version is made. She loves helping players, both new and experienced, and shows this by writing up guides and articles that are easy enough to understand for beginners, while also going in depth enough to be of interest to veteran players. Furthermore, proving that underrated decks can be used in tournament formats is one of her biggest passions. When she's not doing something card game related, she's speedcubing, or studying for her bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.
Essothon is a 24-year old from Poland, however he was raised in the UK, if you were curious about the accent. He is fluent in English, Polish and a bit of German. He has been playing gwent on and off since Closed Beta, and occasionally makes an appearance in Pro Rank. Although his real passion for the game comes from discovering fun and quirky combos that people might not usually think about. Initially lured into Gwent via Witcher 3, he has stayed for the community. In his spare time he enjoys gaming, listening to music and loitering in Twitch chats.
