A card ability that targets a row of the board instead of a card.
Row effects in Gwent are a type of AoE ability that is played on a specific row of the game board instead of targeting one or more cards. Row effects often act as engines, affecting one or more units on that row for a number of turns or while the effect remains in play. However some Row Effects also provide the player with potential burst damage, ‘going off’ after a number of turns have passed. Examples of engine row effects are Ragh Nar Roog and Biting Frost, while Dragon's Dream is a burst row effect.
Veteran players of Gwent might refer to Row Effects as Weather (due to many of them being related to changes in weather) or Hazards when the effect is negative and Boons when the effect is positive.
