Thronebreaker: The Witcher Tales is a singleplayer point and click RPG set in the Witcher universe, centered around Queen Meve and events from Witcher books. It was released together with Gwent when the latter stepped out of beta, on October 23rd 2018 for PC and December 4th the same year for consoles.
All battles and puzzles in Thronebreaker take the form of Gwent matches, as the former was originally intended to be just a single-player mode of the latter. A connection still exists between the two, however, because assuming they’re played from the same account, there are cosmetics to be earned and contracts to be completed in Gwent for progressing in Thronebreaker.
And lastly, Thronebreaker is also a unique set of 20 cards in Gwent, premium versions of which are likewise only obtainable in the singleplayer game.
Elis is a graphic designer in her early 20s, hailing from the Czech Republic. She graduated with a degree in Graphics and Art and has been involved in art and design since her childhood. A coincidence led her to the Witcher saga, and the Witcher saga led her to Gwent, and what she might lack in experience, she compensates for with passion for playing and learning the game. Within the team, she aims to create a visual presence that is united, branded and very much "Aretuza".
