Increasing the strength of a card compared to others in the same card pool. Increasing a unit's card power during a game.

If a card is underpowered in terms of value compared to the other cards in a card pool, it might receive an increase to its card power, an improvement to its ability or a decrease to its provision cost. This is referred to as a buff. The opposite of buffing a card is nerfing it, which is also a balancing tool.
