A mechanic or status specifically defined in-game.

A keyword is specifically defined in-game to make it clear what a card does and how it works. If a mechanic or status is attached to a keyword, that keyword will appear on all cards sharing the mechanic or status so that a player may easily search for them in the Deck Builder and understand patterns and synergies between cards. Keywords are recognisable as written in red on a card’s description and briefly described below it.

The mechanic keywords currently defined in Gwent are: Adrenaline, Ambush, Armor, Assimilate, Banish, Barricade, Berserk, Bloodthirst, Bonded, Charge, Conspiracy, Consume, Cooldown, Create, Crew, Deathblow, Deathwish, Deploy, Devotion, Discard, Disloyal, Dominance, Drain, Duel, Echo, Exposed, Fee, Formation, Harmony, Heal, Hoard, Initiative, Insanity, Inspired, Melee, Order, Profit, Purify, Ranged, Reach, Reset, Resupply, Reveal, Seize, Spawn, Summon, Symbiosis, Thrive, Tribute, Veteran and Zeal.

The status keywords currently defined in Gwent are: Bleeding, Bounty, Defender, Doomed, Immune, Lock, Poison, Resilience, Rupture, Shield, Spying, Veil and Vitality.

As a big fan of the Witcher franchise, SwanDive is always on the lookout for her next Witcher fix. She started playing Gwent in the Closed Beta for the lore – and stayed for the game and the community. Long an avid gamer, Swan found her passion for CCGs and competitive gaming at the Gwent table. Away from it, Swan is studying for her Master’s degree in English and worked as content manager for Team Aretuza.
