Ondrej Kacmar
Website Manager

Gwent was the first CCG kachna ever played, and despite being a newbie in this realm, he became a competitive player with multiple Top 500 finishes at the start of Gwent's Open Beta. Later he transitioned to building and maintaining the Team Aretuza website. If he's not busy fighting with management or bashing pesky bugs, you can find him memeing on the Ranked Ladder with Imlerith: Sabbath or Grave Hag.

Henno De Baar
Founder

Henno is the founder of Team Aretuza. He founded the team to get a group of good players together, to become better at Gwent together. He is always actively looking for new talented people to work together with. His ambition is for the members of Team Aretuza to learn from one another and learn new skills, be it in playing, making content or managing. Henno is a decent Gwent player (at least that’s what he says when you ask him). But he mostly enjoys seeing other people grow.

Damorquis qualified for three consecutive Gwent Opens and holds the title of Gwent Challenger #4 champion and Challenger #5 runner up. His passion for The Witcher universe and his real-life knowledge of behavioral economics helped him develop Team Aretuza, the strongest Gwent esports team in the world. Currently he focuses a career in management consulting and will compete in Gwent's biggest tournament so far Gwent Masters in 2021. His extensive tournament preparation often results in ambitious, innovative decks that catch even the best opponents by surprise, and his highly disciplined approach to gaming, always looking for mistakes and areas to improve, provides his unique edge against the competition.

Kolemoen has always been a fan of card games, starting with Yu-Gi-Oh in high school, then later Hearthstone, and finally beginning his Gwent journey in March 2017. Since then, he has participated in 4 Gwent Opens (winning one) and 3 Gwent Challengers, and has qualified for the upcoming Gwent World Masters event. His strength as a player lies mostly in analyzing matchups and adapting strategies. He is part of Aretuza's competitive roster and will represent the team in tournaments, as well as helping others in the team prepare for their tournament appearances.

Callonetta’s foray into card games was a slow burn. As a submissions editor by day and a gamer by night, she became passionate about The Witcher. This led her to delve into Gwent during Closed Beta as a way to stay attached to the lore, which then blossomed into a near obsession with connecting people who played the game. When she isn’t moonlighting as a butler for her dog, she spends much of her time fostering relationships within card game communities, with a recent passion for Legends of Runeterra at the forefront. Her goal is to bring people closer together who share a love of games and to push content that can aid the casual player. With Team Aretuza, she hopes to continue creating spaces for players to unite, while providing exceptional content to those who love playing card games.

Graphic Designer

Elis is a graphic designer in her early 20s, hailing from the Czech Republic. She graduated with a degree in Graphics and Art and has been involved in art and design since her childhood. A coincidence led her to the Witcher saga, and the Witcher saga led her to Gwent, and what she might lack in experience, she compensates for with passion for playing and learning the game. Within the team, she aims to create a visual presence that is united, branded and very much "Aretuza".

Scarzig got his start streaming and making content for Duelyst, a tactics-ccg hybrid (they even named a card after him!). Alongside showcasing unique decklists and assisting new players, he also casted several competitive events, including the Duelyst World Championships. Scarzig brings his unique and educational perspective to Team Aretuza, continuing to grow as a content creator, caster, and teacher.

Competitive Manager

A fan of card games and gaming since high school, when he spent countless hours playing WoW and YuGiOh, Rowdy began his digital CCG journey with Hearthstone in 2013. After achieving high ranks in multiple games of the genre like Magic:Arena or Gwent over the years, he arrived at Runeterra searching for the next challenge. Following his competitive ambitions, he joined Team Aretuza to step up his game and fight for a place among the best. When he is not trying to crack the meta for the next tourney, you can find him playing poker or some hardcore strategy games.
